Besides tending our chickens, geese, and sheep on the farm, this year we have been experimenting with growing areas of wild flowers, native herbs and perennial vegetables. We have a polytunnel and growing area full of test beds - lavender, calendula, borage, sage, elecampane, yarrow, mugwort, mullein, meadowsweet, madder... Next year we will have plants ready to begin supplying a range of specialist medicinal and culinary herbs plus herbs for textile dyeing.
